Really cheapest food, everything except for the hamburger patties, finished products. Even the tarte flambée is made from the simplest of ready-made dough. Not at all for these prices

Before Corona always enjoyed the good lunch, now the crocodile luckily offers food to be picked up. Good and tasty German cuisine!

I speak no German so I appreciated my kind and patient waitress! Fantastic service! Very clean with a welcoming attitude and then the food! I felt like I should give it a try! The pomme frites were amazing. The salad was fresh with interesting mix of veggies and a mild dressing that I enjoyed. A schnitzel in mushroom sauce was tasty and filling!

A nice eatery with home-style cooking, deliciously prepared. Despite being forced to make a reservation, we got space. A restaurant in the second row, but only seen from the position. Definitely try it out!

Good inexpensive lunch in the weststadt, for 9 € large selection from 20 dishes. Nice, manageable terrace, small restaurant. Chicken schnitzel instead of pork on request. Stable quality, stable price.

We get a salad as a appetizer in this restaurant. Then comes your dish. I'm a vegetarian so I've limited options. I went for the dish which was similar to lasagna and made of spinach, cheese, tomato sauce. The taste was good and the price was 9 euros so quite constant price around this block.

Late in the evening it becomes a nice, cosy neighbourhood local bar. A nice place to hang out, and enjoy a good, quiet beer

We used to order food from Lieferando and it was not bad. But then we decided to visit this place and did have a good experience as working stuff was quite rude and not welcoming at all. So we just left the place.

The crocodile is a nice place. The prices are rather high and the atmosphere is informal. I stayed at the hotel and tried to eat there twice. For the first time the whole restaurant was empty and I was seated right at the door. I asked to change the table. This would be refused, although all other tables were free and not all of them were reserved. The food was okay. The next evening the five of us wanted to eat there. Several tables were free but reserved. We were seated at the bar and should wait there. Little by little tables became available, but it was said that we shouldn't sit down there. There were always people who spontaneously sat there and other tables stayed empty. After an hour it was enough for us and we left. The behavior of the wait staff was more than unfriendly, I would certainly not go there voluntarily.

Average food. Nice place and service

The taste is everything there a treat. The portions are an appealing and satisfying dimension. The inn is indeed very well furnished. Not a cheap decoration, instead it was color-matched most of the very good looking on each other. Definitely not only the nice staff was during our visit the total Renner, but also the unique flair. I found the bid extremely sympathetic.

Food was not good. Not very well seasoned, weak taste. Meat was overcooked and dry and the noodles were overdone. Also the Service was not very friendly. Still the Location is nice and cozy, inside as well as outside.

Simple, friendly and efficient. No special exotic dishes, but all right. The streets in front of Crocodile are very quiet, with mainly pedestrians and bicycles, so the tables outside are very pleasant on hot days. Ideal for a beer with friends.

Fantastic little bar off the beaten path

In the Asparagus season, Krokodil has a dedicated menu for asparagus! And you can enjoy several options, from the traditional boiled asparagus with potato hollandaise sauce to Flamkuchen with asparagus ans of course asparagus sauce. The food was tasty and the prices reasonable. If u want to secure your place better reserve in advance! We sat at the bar and were happy with it!

We ordered two meat dishes and the lamb and grilled dishes were grilled on point. Everything was super spicy and is definitely recommendable. You can also sit nicely in the sun. We will come back!

Decent service for a decent price and a decent location as a bonus. Straight forward breakfast was exactly the sort of thing I look for.

A cosy German restaurant on the west side of Heidelberg. Th environment inside is very welcome and the hanging crocodiles make it also kind of funny. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Since we live very near we went there many times and also ordered and picked up to eat at home. The food is always very good and fresh. The prices are a bit higher, but if you go to the "Mittagstisch" (lunch time - until 16 - from Monday to Saturday) and order something from that specific list you pay 7,5€ per meal. Which in case of the "schnitzel" is usually enough for 2.

This restaurant belongs to the hotel which is located in the same building, but everyone can enter for dinner or lunch. Very good dishes, tasty, with very affordable prices. It is possible to have a good beer in excellent weather. Very friendly all the staff. There are even people who speak Spanish.

Tasty Wiener schnitzel, friendly service. Seems many locals were there for food and drink. Residential area of town, more off the beaten path. We sat outside at about 7:30pm in May and was great weather and peaceful ambiance beyond the restaurant/hotel.

Difficult to classify as it is really a Garni, there is a restaurant, however there is also a 'disconnected' feeling about it as there is no direct access and one has to leave the Hotel to enter the restaurant. The room was absolutely only standard at the middle of a standard scale, noisy with window open, bathroom not really that modern even had an infrared light in the ceiling for heat and as such not effective at all. No escalator, you have to carry your bags up stairs to get to the reception and then up some more if you are not on level 1. Breakfast was really poor with Bread rolls of the type found in motorway reststops and not really tasteful at all. The parking is minimum 80mtr away so if you have traffic unloading your car at the Hotel could cause grief with perhaps other drivers who have no patience. The only highlights for me were the friendly staff and the restaurant does have good food although quite limited with choice, good beer and friendly staff. Not really a Hotel that I would recommend, however this, and the above, only reflects my personal opinion.

Good location to use by foot from train station, as well as to walk to the old part of Heidelberg. Very nice staff, breakfest according to friendly price . Room was large and clean.
